2-1-1 is a free, non-emergency, confidential, 3-digit phone number and service that provides easy access to housing information, and critical health and human services.

2-1-1 operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with multi-lingual capabilities.

Are you eligible for CalFresh/Food Stamps?

Over 50% of Alameda County residents who are eligible for food assistance have not applied to receive it! 2-1-1 Resource Specialists can conduct a confidential screening over the phone to determine if you are potentially eligible to receive food assistance.

The CalFresh Program, formally known as Food Stamps and federally known as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), can add to your food budget. The program provides monthly benefits (via a debit card) that can be used to buy most foods at many markets, food stores, and even farmers’ markets.
